Lyman L. Bott
Lyman L. Bott, 92 of Moundville passed away on Saturday, Oct. 12, 2019, at Cox South Medical Center in Springfield, Mo. Lyman was born in Rush County, Kan., on July 5, 1927, to Roscoe Wm. Bott and Frances E. (Wallace) Bott. He married Bonnie Jean Rogers in 1957 and she preceded him in death on May 1, 2012. In the early 1930s the family moved to a farm in Moundville, Mo. Lyman graduated from the Moundville High School and later attended Fort Scott, Kan., Community College. Lyman operated the Moundville Service Station in Moundville from 1958 to the present day along with his son Craig.
He was a kind, gentle man that loved people and the community he lived in. He enjoyed fishing, collecting cars and antique brass fans.
Lyman is survived by his four children, Julie Wood (Dr. Robert Wood), Craig Bott (Patricia), Wendy Wolfe (Mark) and Warren Bott (Cathy); nine grandchildren, Candace, Lacey, Mitchell, Cameron, Cody, Parker, Kyle, Gracie and Luke; and six great-grandchildren, Eli, Gavin, Olivia, Gabby, Ellie and Emma.
Graveside services will be held at 11 a.m., Wednesday, Oct. 16, at the Moundville Cemetery in Moundville, Mo., with Phillip Owens officiating. The family will receive friends from 5 to 7 p.m., Tuesday, at Ferry Funeral Home in Nevada.
