Nevada High cross country team recognized for season of excellence

Nevada High's cross country team punctuated a terrific season at Monday night's postseason awards banquet.

From the podium, head coach Ryan Watts spoke glowingly of his squad — recounting their many achievements during the recent fall campaign.

Watts not only recognized the high school team, but also the Nevada Middle School cross country squad.

The evening's festivities included a presentation of postseason accolades, as Watts also distributed team awards.

High School team award winners, were Calli Beshore: Girls' Top Runner, Dedication, and Guts/career achievement awards; Kaden Padgett: Boys' Top Runner award; Allie Rains: Rookie of the Year award; Ben Sudkamp: Dedication award; Ashley Mather: Guts award; and Jaden Theis: Guts award.
