Barbara Jean (Clifton) Miller
Barbara Jean (Clifton) Miller, 72, went to be with her heavenly father on May 7, 2020, at her home in Nevada, Mo., while surrounded by family. She was born on Sept. 15, 1947, in St. Louis, Mo., to Homer Chester Clifton and Dorothy Elizabeth (Johnson) Clifton. She married Clarence Arthur Miller on April 8, 1965, in Fort Pierce, Fla.
After moving to Nevada, Barbara started working for the Nevada State hospital until she decided to become a traveling assistant physical therapist around southwest Missouri. When she wasn’t working, she enjoyed listening to Elvis Presley music, reading, watching Christmas movies, and snuggling her beloved pets.
Barbara is survived by one son, Richard Dale Miller (Misty); and two grandchildren, Kristal Renee Miller and Cody Arthur Miller of Nevada, Mo. Barbara was preceded in death by her loving husband; her parents; two sisters, Vickie (Clifton) Brown and Patricia Clifton; and one half-brother, Larry Joe Lamastus.
Visitation will be held at 10-10:45 a.m., Monday May 11, at Ferry Funeral Home in Nevada with Chaplain Roger Hasselquist. Graveside services will follow at 11 a.m. at Moore Cemetery in Nevada, Missouri.
