Vernon County Health Department confirms seventh positive case of COVID-19
Vernon County Health Department has confirmed the seventh positive case of novel coronavirus (COVID-19).
Vernon County Health Department staff has identified and contacted any individual that may have come in close contact with the case which may have put them at risk and will monitor them for any signs and symptoms of illness.
There is a risk for community exposure. The case was at 54 Feed and Seed on May 14, 2020, between 8:30 a.m. and 5:30 p.m. The exposure is low risk for transmission. If you were in this business on the date listed we recommend monitoring for any symptoms. If you develop symptoms please follow-up with your provider or urgent care. It is important that you CALL prior to going to the office.
Individuals should continue to practice social distancing, clean/disinfect any high touched surfaces, wash their hands with soap and water routinely, use hand sanitizer if soap and water is not available and avoid touching your face (especially eyes, nose and mouth).
Call before going to a clinic, urgent care, or emergency room if you feel you need to be evaluated
Close contact means six feet or less for 10 minutes or more with a positive case.
