Sylvan “Van” Earl Oyerly
Sylvan “Van” Earl Oyerly, 66, Stark City, Mo., passed away Aug. 2, 2020. He was born April 23, 1954, in Kansas City, Mo. Van had been employed at Neosho Box and Wood and later, as a welder for K&S Wire, Neosho. He enjoyed gardening, working in the yard, and being with his grandkids. Van married Diana Yost on March 22, 1986, in Newtonia, Mo.; she survives of the home. He is also survived by his mother, Peggy Stone of Spring City, Mo.; four children, Angie Younger of Ashland, N.C., Lee Oyerly of Arkansas, Dustin Oyerly and wife, Stephanie, of Diamond, Mo., and Alysa Oyerly-Gary of Monett, Mo.; one brother, Richard Stone of Joplin, Mo.; two sisters, Brenda Ogle and husband, Mike, of Spring City and Brenda McDaniel and husband, Wade, of Neosho; and two grandchildren, Taylor Smith and Xander Oyerly. Van was preceded in death by his stepfather, James Stone; one brother, Jimmy Stone; and his father, Ray Oyerly.
A memorial visitation will be Wednesday, Aug. 5, from 5 to 7 p.m., at Clark Funeral Home Granby Chapel, Granby, Mo.
