Two additional Bryan Elementary staff members test positive for COVID-19

In a press release from the Nevada R-5 School District on Thursday, Superintendent Dr. Tyson Beshore announced two additional cases of COVID-19 among staff members. According to the release, the district "received notification of two Bryan Elementary staff members who tested positive for COVID-19."

In addition, the district noted that the Vernon County Health Department is notifying all individuals who meet the definition of close contact and will instruct those individuals of their required next steps.

The district had previously announced a confirmed positive case of COVID-19 among Bryan Elementary staff on Tuesday, Sept. 8. The two new cases bring the total of confirmed positive staff members to three.

The release noted that the district appreciates "your continued support and patience as we navigate this incredibly challenging time."
