Judy Weaver
Judy Elizabeth Weaver, 75, of Liberal, Mo., passed away Sept. 8, 2020, at her daughter's home in Lamar, Mo.
Judy was born Sept. 8, 1945, in Liberal, Mo., to Ward and Delilah Ione (Friend) Weaver. Judy graduated from Liberal High School in the class of 1963. On Feb. 22, 1967, She married Curt Cavanaugh and together they had one daughter and they later divorced.
Judy had worked at Blue Willow Cafe, Key Work Clothes, and retired as a secretary for the State Hospital in Nevada, Mo. She loved her farm, where she raised quarter horses, had exotic birds, llamas, emus, and a talking parrot. Judy also liked to play the guitar and sing and loved taking her grandkids hunting and fishing.
Survivors include one daughter, Jody (Frank) Lindsey, Lamar, Mo.; one brother, Ed (Linda) Weaver, Liberal, Mo.; a sister in law, Edith Weaver; four grandchildren, Daniel (Allie) Henegar, Carl Junction, Mo., Jordan (Chance) Dickey, Liberal, Mo., Keagan (Bo) Hubbard, Carl Junction, Mo., and Michaela Mosier, Liberal, Mo.; six great-grandchildren, Easton and Archer Dickey of Liberal, Mo., Camden, Kenzlee and Karsyn Hubbard of Carl Junction, Mo., and Aidan Mosier of Liberal, Mo.; an aunt, Pauline Davidson of Liberal, Mo., a longtime friend, Chip Douglas; and extended Weaver family.
Preceding Judy in death were her parents and a brother, David Weaver.
Funeral services will be at 10 a.m., Saturday, Sept. 12, at the Christian Church in Liberal, Mo., with burial to follow at Worsley Cemetery, Bronaugh, Mo.
The family will receive friends from 6 to 7 p.m., Friday, Sept. 11, at Daniel Funeral Home.
