Lady Tiger netters edged by rival Lamar
The Nevada Lady Tiger tennis team was denied their first victory of the season Monday evening, with host Lamar upending them, 5-4. The Big 8 Conference West division loss moves Nevada to 0-3 overall, and 0-2 in the Big 8 West.

• At No. 1 singles, Nevada's Eden Fischer was toppled by Alexia Phipps, 5-8. • Nevada's Alissa Stutuesman fell in the No. 2 spot to Avery Bennett, 3-8. • Nevada No. 3 Emily Bourassa doubled up Leah McDonald, 8-4. • Competing at No. 4, Nevada's Abbi Baldwin dropped her match to Cora Pittensberger, 2-8.
• Nevada No. 5 Luara Kimmell bounced Erica McClaslin, 8-5.• And at No. 6 singles, Nevada's Halley Elkinton was derailed by Molly Bronson, 4-8.

• Matching up at No. 1 doubles, Nevada's tandem of Fischer/Stutesman was defeated by Phipps/Pittsenbarger, 2-8. • Nevada's No. 2 duo, Bourassa/Baldwin, drubbed Bennett/Bronson, 8-2.• In the No. 3 spot, Elkinton/Kimmel prevailed over Lamar's McDonald/McCaslin, 8-5.
