Ruby Kathleen Westerhold Wikoff
Ruby was a resident of rural Metz, Mo., who was currently living at Medicalodge in Nevada, Mo. She passed away Sept. 24, 2020, at the age of 97 years and 11 months. Ruby was born on Halloween in 1922 in a rural area north of Metz to Fred and Eula Westerhold.
Throughout her school years she attended rural schools in Bates County. The family moved north of Metz in 1936, where Ruby graduated from high school in 1941. Ruby and Melvin Wikoff were married the day she graduated. Melvin and Ruby were the parents of two children, Vicky and Rodger. Ruby worked at Fram and after retiring was an avid quilt maker and craft artist. She would load her car and head for many craft shows in Vernon and Bates County area.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Melvin; parents, Fred and Eula Westerhold; and five beloved brothers and sisters.
Ruby is survived by her children, Vicky Wikoff Taylor, of Lockwood, Mo., and Rodger Wikoff and wife, Kitty, of Metz, Mo.; four grandchildren, Jeff Wikoff and wife, Melody, of Hume, Mo., Jami Wikoff Blosmo and husband, Brian, of Albin, Wyo., Sharla Taylor Rodgers and Donald of El Dorado Springs, Mo., and Bradly Taylor and wife, Cassandra, of Greenfield, Mo.
She was the proud great-grandma of 13 and two great-great-grandchildren; brother and sister, Wayne Westerhold and Lois McCormick, of Butler and Metz, Mo.
Graveside services were held at 10 a.m., Monday, Sept. 28, at the Balltown Cemetery, Horton, Mo. Family suggests memorial contributions to the Balltown Cemetery in care of Heuser Funeral Home.
