Pair of Lady Tigers medal at conference tourney

With their season entering its home stretch, the Nevada Lady Tiger tennis team was in action at Wednesday's Big 8 Conference Tournament at the Joplin Athletic Complex.

Nevada's top singles player, Eden Fisher, won two of her three matches en route to a third-place finish and medal.

Fellow teammate Emily Bourassa, competing at No. 3 singles, won one of her three matches, placing fourth — and also medaling.

Also in action for Nevada, and dropping their lone singles matches — were Alissa Stutesman, Laura Kimmell, Halley Elkinton, and Susannah Kimmell.

Additionally, each of Nevada's three doubles duos were upended, going 0-1 on the day.

Up Next

The Lady Tigers return to the court for the Class 1 District 12 individual tournament — Saturday in Harrisonville.

Also competing will be host Harrisonville, Lamar, and Clinton.
