Michael Charles Pelland
On Tuesday, Nov. 10, 2020, Michael Charles Pelland, loving father of two girls passed away at the age of 70. He was a resident of Nevada, Mo., and was an active member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. He was born in Woonsocket, R.I., on Nov.17, 1949. He grew up in Miami, Fla., and joined the Air Force in1967 where he was transferred to Mather Air Force base in Sacramento, Calif., where he met his first wife Frainces Mageson, who preceded him in death, and together they had Marie Lynn and Ruthann. Later he worked at the Medical Center Pharmacy in Roseville, Calif., for over 20 years, then retiring to see the country by bicycle. In his lifetime he rode over a million miles until his knee got too bad and he had to give it up for a scooter named Go-Go.
He was preceded in death by his father, Charles Pelland, and mother, Gloria. He had five brothers, Ronald Pelland of Vancleave, Mich., Charles Pelland of Jacksonville, Fla., Ernest Pelland of Jacksonville, Fla., Patrick of Nashville, Tenn., and one sister, Charlene Pelland of Ontario, Ore. He also had nine grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren. He will have a military memorial service in Gladewater, Texas. Monetary donations can go to Wilson Funeral home in Gladewater.
