Nevada Fire Department responds to house fire

At 12:18 p.m., Wednesday, Nevada Fire Department was dispatched to a house on fire at 817 N. Commercial St. When firefighters arrived, they found fire in the garage that had extended through the garage roof. Captain Kevin Scott said no one was home at the time of the fire and there were no injuries. The fire resulted in extensive damage to the garage and the cause is under investigation. Nevada Fire Department responded with four apparatus and 12 personnel.
