Vernon County Sheriff's Office to host 8th Annual Children's Food Drive
The Vernon County Sheriff’s Office is holding its 8th Annual Children’s Food Drive for Christmas until Dec. 23. Food will be delivered on Christmas Eve to families with small children who have been placed on the food-box list. People who wish to help are encouraged to drop off non-perishable food items at the Sheriff’s Office before Christmas Eve.
Recommended items include: Macaroni and cheese; peanut butter and jelly; pudding cups; canned/microwave-ready soup; spaghettios; cheese/peanut butter crackers; chips; juice; hot cocoa; canned vegetables; pork and beans; pickles (jar); boxed/packaged snacks (granola/breakfast bars, applesauce, oatmeal cream pies, cheez-its, fruit snacks, cookies, etc.); and any other non-perishable food, snack, or drink items.
Due to COVID-19 restrictions, these will be non-contact deliveries.
