Vernon County Ambulance District receives a clean audit

The Vernon County Ambulance District board held their regular meeting at 7 p.m., Thursday evening. BG Wolfe of DSWA Certified Public Accountants (pictured at center) presented the board with the district's audit. According to the audit, "In our opinion, except for the effects of the matter described in the 'Basis for Qualified Opinion' paragraph, the financial statements referred to above present fairly, in all material respects, the respective financial position of the business-type activities of the Vernon County Ambulance District as of June 30, 2020, and the changes in its financial position for the fiscal year then ended in accordance with accounting principles generally accepted in the United States of America. Explaining what this means, Wolfe stated, "All that verbiage essentially means you've got a clean audit opinion."
