Bronaugh falls to Greenfield

Tuesday, February 9, 2021

One way or another, the homecoming basketball games Friday night in Bronaugh were going to be won by the Wildcats.

Unfortunately for the home teams, it was the Greenfield variety that claimed victory.

The Bronaugh girls fell to the Lady Cats 61-37 in the opener before the Greenfield boys got a big boost from their bench in a 54-49 win in the nightcap.

The Wildcats (Greenfield's, that is) saw their reserves score 33 of the team's 54 total points in a game that the other Wildcats (Bronaugh's) were leading 38-28 after three quarters.

But Greenfield outscored Bronaugh 21-11 in the fourth to steal the win.

Connor Lewandowski led all scorers with 16 points. Kyle Harrell and John Million paced BHS with 15 and 14 points, respectively, while teammate Logyn Rainey chipped in eight.
