Nevada baseball falls in Fort Scott

The Nevada High School baseball team saw a five-run lead disappear in the sixth inning Monday at Fort Scott, ultimately resulting in a 10-8 loss to the cross-state Tigers.

Fort Scott scored its final seven runs on two hits, two errors, five walks, and multiple wild pitches and passed balls.

Eli Cheaney went 2-for-3 at the plate with two doubles and three runs scored. Blake Pryor also drove in three, and seven of Nevada's nine starters had at least one hit.
