Wednesday house fire injures two

At 5:17 p.m., Wednesday, the Nevada Fire Department was dispatched to a report of a house on fire at 711 E. Lee St.
"Report of the back porch on fire," Captain John McGraw said. "When fire units arrived heavy smoke and fire coming from the rear of the house. All occupants of the home were accounted for."
According to McGraw, the rear of the house was completely destroyed and the front part of the house suffered heavy damage.
Two people were injured during the incident. The first, one of the home's residents; the second, a firefighter.
Due to the scope of the incident, Nevada Fire Department requested mutual aid from Compton Junction Fire Department and Milo Fire Department.
