Deanna Lea Vance
Deanna Lea Vance, 57, Bronaugh, Mo., passed away on Monday, Aug. 23, 2021, at Mercy Hospital in Springfield, Mo., following a brief illness. Deanna was born Sept. 17, 1963, in Kansas City, Mo., to Robert L. and Mary J. (Ware) Price. She was united in marriage to Claude D. Vance on May 1, 1981, and he preceded her in death on June 11, 2014.
Deanna came with her family to El Dorado Springs, Mo., at the age of three and attended high school in El Dorado Springs. Following her marriage to Claude the couple resided in Dadeville, Mo., where they worked in maintenance for the Stockton Lake Campgrounds. She then worked at O’Sullivan’s in Lamar for over 10 years until they closed, and Timken Belts in Fort Scott until she became ill. Deanna enjoyed being outdoors, gardening, and mushroom hunting, she was an avid Chiefs fan, and especially loved being with her grandchildren.
Survivors include three children, Claude Vance (Ashley), Lawrence, Kan., Robert Vance, Bronaugh, Mo., and Kayla Mansour (Eric), Bronaugh; grandchildren, Trevor Vance, Conner Vance, and Little Eric Mansour; and a stepgrandson, Mason Bogart. She was preceded in death by her parents, and her husband, Claude.
Visitation will be held from 9 to 11 a.m., Saturday, Aug. 28, at Ferry Funeral Home in Nevada. Committal will follow at 2 p.m., in the Masonic Cemetery in Dadeville, Mo.
