Kenneth Louis Fritter
Kenneth Louis Fritter, age 85, Nevada, Mo., passed away on Thursday, Jan. 6, 2022, at Medicalodges, in Nevada. Kenney was born Sept. 5, 1936, in Eve, Mo., the son of Louis W. Fritter and Stella Gardner Fritter. He married Rebecca (Becky) Rylander on Dec. 1, 1956, in Nevada, Mo., and she survives of the home.
Kenny farmed and worked for the Frisco Railroad, Burlington Northern Railroad, and Burlington Northern Santa Fe Railroad for 42 years and 3 months, retiring in October 1998. He was a member of the brotherhood of Railroad Trainmen, the Order of Railroad Conductors and Brakemen, and United Transportation Union. When he retired, he was Local Chairman for Conductors and Brakemen. Local 184 and Local 303 for the Ash Grove Sub. He was a member of the Christian Church. Kenny like to fish, quail hunt and grow vegetables in his garden. The neighbors liked it too.
He was preceded in death by his parents and brother, Don Fritter. In addition to his wife, Becky, he is survived by one son, Gregg Fritter and his wife Janet, Nevada; one daughter, Ronda Erwin and her husband Rick, Nevada; three granddaughters, Heather Vestal (David), Nevada, Kelsey Erwin, Castle Pines, Colo., and Katie Fletchall (Matt), Nevada; one grandson, Reed Erwin, Joplin, Mo.; one great-grandson, Kaleb Vestal; three great-granddaughters, Kylee Vestal, Kourtnee Vestal, and Haizleigh Fletchall; one brother, Harold Fritter, Richards, Mo.; and four nephews.
Graveside services will be held at 3 p.m., Tuesday, Jan. 11, at Deerfield Cemetery in Deerfield, Mo., with Pastor Bill Platt officiating.
Memorials are suggested to the Vernon County Youth Fair or St. Jude Children’s Hospital in care of Ferry Funeral Home in Nevada, Mo.
