Lorietta Marie Snider
Lorietta Marie Snider, 91, passed away on Feb. 3, 2022, at Medicalodges in Nevada, Mo.
She was preceded in death by two husbands, Harold Pyle and Everett Snider; two brothers, Frank Hall and Freddie Hall; six half-brothers, Lester Jones, Clinton Jones, Tom Jones, Clifford Jones, Cecil Hall, and Earl Hall; three half-sisters, Mary Corwin, Lillie Hendrix, and Clara Finney; one stepdaughter, Carol Drumright; and one granddaughter, Bethany Pyle.
She is survived by two sons, Jerry Pyle (Barbara) of Nevada, Mo., and Stanley Pyle (Peggy) of Ash Grove, Mo.; two stepsons, Bob Snider (Leona) of Springfield, Mo., and Terry Snider (Ann) of Springfield, Mo.; four grandsons, Stanley Pyle II (Emily) of Republic, Mo., Jonathan Pyle (Andrea) of Caldwell, Idaho, Joshua Pyle (Wendy) of Nevada, Mo., and Skyler Pyle (Jackie) of Springfield, Mo.; one granddaughter, Jodi Pyle of Caldwell, Idaho; 19 great-grandchildren; and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
Born on Jan. 24, 1931, to Lafayette and Edith Hall in Halltown, Mo., she graduated in 1950 from Miller High School.
Lorietta married Harold Pyle on April 27, 1954. To this union were born two sons, Jerry Lee Pyle and Stanley Loyd Pyle.
Lorietta faithfully served the Lord with her husband. She played the piano at various revival meetings he held, and at churches he pastored in Sarcoxie and Republic.
In 1971, her husband passed away from ALS, leaving her a widow at age 40 with two teenage sons to raise. She worked at R&S Floral, Stinger Sams Auto Parts, and Gospel Publishing House to support herself and her sons. She continued to faithfully serve the Lord and take her family to church after her husband’s passing.
She married Everett Snider Jan. 2, 1982, and was a faithful wife to him for 9 years. During the final months of Everett’s life, Lorietta spent countless hours by his bedside at the hospital and nursing home, faithfully caring for her husband.
She was a member of Faith Baptist Church in Springfield, where she played the piano and served faithfully for many years. In 2006, she moved to Nevada, Mo., and became a member of Bible Baptist Church where she attended until her health declined.
Lorietta’s life was spent serving God and helping others. Family, friends, and churches all benefitted from her kindness and acts of service. Her life was an example of faithfulness to God and family.
