Poster winners recognized at Vernon County Soil and Water Conservation District 58th Annual meeting

Each year, the Vernon County Soil and Water Conservation District goes to all the schools in the county and do a soil health presentation to the third and fourth grade students. The students then get to make a poster on what they have learned. These posters are judged by a team of three area people.

The top ten winners in the poster contest from each class were highlighted at the organization's 58th annual meeting Friday evening. The winners who were present are as follows:

Third grade

• Aubree Maddox, first place.

• Naomi Sanchez, second place.

• Cameron Steaman, third place.

• Averie Walrod, fourth place (not pictured).

• Kaydence Boyd, sixth place.

• Aria Dickey, seventh place.
