Bronaugh R-7 hires new Superintendent

The Bronaugh R-7 School District has announced the hiring of a new Superintendent — Dr. Benjamin O'Connor.

Dr. O'Connor completed his undergraduate and graduate work at Pittsburg State University, receiving a Bachelor of Science in History Education; Master's degrees in Special Education and Educational Leadership; and a Doctorate in Education in Educational Administration from St. Louis University.

Over the last 16 years, Dr. O'Connor has held positions as a special education teacher, a principal, and director of special education. He accepted the position of Superintendent of Bronaugh R-V7 School District on April 28, 2022.

Bronaugh's Board President, Ryan Linn, shared, “We are excited to have Dr. Ben O’Connor joining our team here at Bronaugh. He is bringing several years of experience with him that will continue to keep us moving forward toward our goals.”

Dr. O'Connor and his wife, Kindra, live in Webb City with their three children. He will begin his contract on July 1, 2022.
