Vera Darline Hiebert

Vera Darline Hiebert, 88, passed away on Saturday, May 21, 2022, at her home in Sheldon, Mo. Darline was born Jan. 15, 1934, in Jerico Springs, Mo., to Everett A. and Mayme E. (Shelton) Potter. She was married to Raymond E. Hiebert on May 5, 1954, in Enid, Okla., and he preceded her in death in 2018.

Darline grew up in the Sheldon and Jerico Springs area. She attended several country schools before graduating from Sheldon High School. Throughout her life, she was a homemaker and farmwife. She had a love of farm life and gardening, but especially loved being with her children and grandchildren.

Survivors include two sons, Steven Hiebert, Sheldon and David Hiebert, Nevada; one daughter, Mary Ann Blauvelt (David), Sheldon; three grandchildren, Aaron Blauvelt, Emily Blauvelt, and James Blauvelt; and five great-grandchildren, Jakoda, Mark, Shawn, James Jr., and Raymond. In addition to her husband, Raymond, she was preceded in death by her son, Daniel; her parents; and two brothers, Oden Potter and Norval Potter.

Graveside service will be held at 2 p.m., Wednesday, May 25, at 2 p.m., at Sheldon Cemetery in Sheldon, Mo., with the Rev. Jerod Lamb officiating. The family will receive friends from 6 to 7 p.m., Tuesday, at Ferry Funeral Home in Nevada.
