Kristi Susan Hensley

Kristi Susan Hensley, 48, Nevada, Mo., passed away on Saturday, June 11, 2022. Kristi was born March 11, 1974, in Nevada, to Roger L. and Vicki Rae (Moore) Hensley.

Kristi was raised in Nevada and attended Nevada High School where she was active in Speech and Debate, as well as being a cheerleader. Following her graduation in 1992, she attended Missouri Valley College in Marshall, Mo., graduating in 1996 with a bachelor’s degree in Mass Communications and Marketing.

Kristi moved to St. Louis, Mo., where she worked for a number of years. She loved the city of St. Louis and the people there.

Kristi was actively involved in Big Brothers and Big Sisters of America. She and her “little sister” were together for 13 years and had continued to remain friends.

In 2017, she returned to Nevada for the comfort of her family and home. Kristi loved her nieces and nephews and was very concerned about the future of life in America. She was currently employed by the Corridor Group in Mission, Kan.

Survivors include her parents, Roger and Vicki Hensley of the home in Nevada; one brother, Jeremy Lynn Hensley, Nevada; maternal grandmother, Twilia Moore, Nevada; numerous aunts and uncles, Linda Owen (Roy), Karen Taffner (Jerry), Lamar, Pam Medlin (Jesse), Lamar, Susan Cheshire, Springfield, Mo., Jerry Moore, Nevada, and Carl Moore, Nevada; nephews and nieces, Dakota Stigall (Taylor), Hume, Konnway Hensley, Nevada, Mercedes Massari, Nevada, and Payten Johnson (Andrew), Nevada; many, many, cousins; and her beloved Westiepoo canine companion, “Nelson."

A Celebration of Life will be held at a later time.

Memorials are suggested in her memory to Big Brothers Big Sisters of St. Louis, in care of Ferry Funeral Home in Nevada, Mo.
