Frederick Ray Reedy

Frederick Ray Reedy, 83, Nevada, Mo., passed away on Tuesday, July 19, 2022, at Springfield Rehabilitation and Health Care Center. Fred was born Sept. 12, 1938, in Harwood, Mo., to Walter G. and Jeannie R. (Curry) Reedy. On July 19, 1958, he was united in marriage to Alice Ann Brundridge and she preceded him in death in 1987.

Fred was raised in Harwood and attended Harwood School. He worked at Richardson Motor Company for a number of years and then worked for Madills Appliances in Nevada until his retirement. One of Fred’s favorite pastimes was camping at Pomme de Terre Lake.

Fred passed away on July 19, 2022, his wedding anniversary, and went to be with his wife to go dancing again.

Survivors include three children, Jaye Rosales (Raymond), Colorado Springs, Colo., Joyce Reedy (David Blaylock), Springfield, Mo., and Raymond Reedy, Thornton, Colo.; five grandchildren, Raylene Reynolds (Cody), Colorado Springs, Colo., Nathan Reedy, Fountain, Colo., Alicia Champlin (Jeff), Denver, Colo., Jessica McKinney (Matthew), Monument, Colo., and Jorena Siegmann (Matthew), Springfield, Mo.; 11 great-grandchildren; one sister, Neva Timbers, Warrensburg, Mo.; and numerous nieces and nephews. In addition to his wife, Alice Ann, he is preceded in death by a sister, Lois Dade; and two brothers, Lewis Reedy, and Richard Reedy.

Graveside services will be held at 10 a.m., Tuesday, July 26, at Virgil City Cemetery, Virgil City, Mo., with Raymond Reedy officiating. The family will receive friends from 5 to 7 p.m., Monday, at Ferry Funeral Home, in Nevada.

Memorials are suggested in his memory to the American Cancer Society in care of Ferry Funeral Home.
