Larry Dale Banes

Larry Dale Banes, 73, Milo, MO passed away suddenly at home on Friday, August 5, 2022. Larry was born January 27, 1949 in Nevada, MO to Jack and Vinona (Senkevech) Banes. Larry grew up in the Bronaugh area, graduating from Bronaugh High School in 1967. He spent the majority of his life as a painter but also worked in the finance business and farming. He was a loving husband, father, grandpa, uncle, brother-in-law and friend. He enjoyed every minute he had to spend with his family. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, camping, boating, gardening, and the outdoors.

Larry is survived by his wife of 43 years, Rachel; sons Shelbey, Milo, MO, Dusten, Webb City, MO, and Buddy Banes, Agenda, KS; daughters Kemberley Banes, Bronaugh, MO and Shelley, Keltner, TX; 5 granddaughters, 4 grandsons, 2 great-granddaughters, 2 great-grandsons; his aunt, Betty Houdeshell, Nevada, MO; and many cousins, brothers- and sisters-in-law. Larry was preceded in death by his father, Jack Banes; mother, Vinona Gifford; grandpa, Jess Banes; grandma, Berry Lee Banes; and uncles Jerry & Lonnie Banes.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00a.m. on Friday, August 12, 2022, at Ferry Funeral Home, Nevada, with Pastor Bill Platt officiating. Interment will follow in Sheldon Cemetery in Sheldon, MO. The family will receive friends from 10:00 – 11:00a.m. prior to the service. In lieu of flowers, memorials are suggested to the family in c/o Ferry Funeral Home.
