Nevada woman sustains injuries in weekend crash

According to Missouri State Highway Patrol Troop D, a Nevada woman suffered injuries from a vehicle accident at 1:45 p.m., Saturday, Aug. 27, in Barton County, four miles south of Liberal, Mo.

The wreck occurred when a northbound 2015 Nissan Altima driven by Barbara A. Williams, of Fort Scott, Kan., struck a eastbound 2019 Chevrolet Equinox driven by Debra A. Griggs, of Nevada, Mo., in the passenger side causing the Equinox to overturn.

The Williams' vehicle sustained extensive damage, while Griggs' vehicle was totaled. Griggs was wearing her seatbelt and suffered moderate injuries. She was transported by ambulance to Cox Barton County Hospital.
