Michael Lynn Butler

Michael Lynn Butler, 60, of Nevada, Mo., was born Sept. 25, 1962, in Independence, Mo., and passed away on Wednesday, Dec. 28, 2022, in Nevada. He married Patricia Ann Colvin Oct. 20, 1995, and she survives of the home.

Mike moved to Bronaugh at an early age, then moved to Liberal where he attended High School. Mike owned and operated Quality Seal Coating and Asphalt Maintenance Company in Nevada. Mike was a member of the Osage Masonic Lodge No. 303, and an avid Kansas City Chiefs fan.

Mike was preceded in death by his mother, Billi Ruth Butler. He is survived his wife, Pat of the home; her son, Jeff Triplett (Billie Jo) Lee’s Summitt, Mo.; three daughters, Chelsea Butler, Pittsburg, Kan., Megan Butler (George Hatcher) Pittsburg, Kan., and Whitney Butler (Nelson Fox) Pittsburg, Kan.; grandchildren, Riley, Alivia, Easton, Elizabeth, and Logan; and half-brother, Greg Venable, Springfield, Mo.

Memorial services will be held at 11:30 a.m., Tuesday, Jan. 3, in the Ferry Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Roger Beach officiating. Private committal will be in Newton Burial Park. Visitation will be from 10:30 a.m. until service time.
