Jeffrey Wayne Gill

Jeffrey Wayne Gill, 74, Nevada, Mo., passed away on Saturday, March 18, 2023, at the Kansas City Hospice House in Kansas City, Mo. Jeff was born Dec. 28, 1948, in Santa Monica, Calif.

Jeff was raised in the Santa Monica, Calif., area. After joining the United States Navy at the age of 17, Jeff served in the Vietnam War and was stationed in Vietnam for 1 year and 3 months. Following his service time he returned home and worked as a trucker for 30 years. He came to Nevada in 2012 where he has continued to reside.

Survivors include three daughters, Jennifer Gill, Arkansas, Crystal Alvares (Lucio), Nevada, Mo., and Courtney Gill, Little Rock, Ark.; and eight grandchildren, including Austin, Diego, and Khris. He was preceded in death by his parents.

Memorial services with Military Honors will be held at 12:30 p.m., Friday, March 24, at the National Cemetery in Fort Scott, Kan., with Pastor Terry Mosher officiating.
