Pamela Ranay Harth

Pamela Ranay Harth, 72, Nevada, Mo., passed away on Sunday, April 30, 2023, at Moore-Few Care Center, in Nevada, following a brief illness. Pam was born June 24, 1950, in Fort Scott, Kan., to William “Joe” and Edythe “Sue” E. (McCulley) Mantooth. She married Dean Harth on May 24, 1968, in Fort Scott, and he preceded her in death in 2009.

Pam was raised in Fort Scott and graduated from Fort Scott High School Class of 1968. For many years she worked at Emery’s Truck Stop in Deerfield, then worked for the Nevada R-5 School District Bus Barn driving a school bus for 10 years. Pam also worked at the Nevada Senior Center for several years, as well as caring for many of her grandchildren.

Survivors include three children, Cindy Brown, Nevada, Michael Harth (Kathleen Feller), Nevada, and Angela Proctor (Raymond), Nevada; seven grandchildren; four great-granddaughters; her mother, Sue, Gas, Kan.; two brothers, Del Mantooth (Jodie), Fulton, Kan., and Alan Mantooth (Amie), El Dorado, Kan.; one sister, Pattie Luck (Paul), Leon, Kan.; numerous nieces and nephews also survive. In addition to her husband, Dean, she was preceded in death by her father; a daughter, Lisa Thurman; and a granddaughter, Tonya Kerr.

The family will receive friends from 5 to 7 p.m., Friday, June 2, at Ferry Funeral Home, in Nevada. A private committal service will be held in Deerfield Cemetery, in Deerfield, Mo.
