Griffons team up with YMCA to talk baseball
The Nevada Griffons had a chance to hang out with the YMCA Campers Thursday afternoon, talking and learning about baseball. Nevada Griffons’ General Manager Kevin Williams told Nevada Daily Mail, “For nearly 10 years, the YMCA has opened their doors to the Nevada Griffons so they are able to continue their workout routines while playing baseball for the Griffons. In 2022, the YMCA asked if some of the players would be interested to come to the YMCA and talk baseball with their camp kids. We were glad to accept this invitation and it was a big hit. The kids and the players had a great time. This year, the request was made again and we were happy to oblige. Like last year, the kids and the placers once again had a great time, as this might be our newest tradition.”
The Nevada Griffons played their final game of the 2023 season Thursday evening, and lost to the Clarinda A’s with a final score of 14-2 in just seven innings of play.
