Katlyn Marie Dunfield

Katlyn Marie Dunfield, 22, Nevada, Mo., passed away on Tuesday, Sept. 26, 2023. Katlyn was born March 28, 2001, in Nevada, to Dustin W. and Monica Lynn (Hill) Dunfield.

Katlyn attended Nevada Schools through her junior year then graduated from West High School in Waterloo, Iowa, in 2019. She attended Hawkeye Community College and was currently working for Southwest Community Services in Nevada. Katlyn loved spending time with her two sons, Grayson and Baylor, and her family. She was a member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Nevada.

Survivors include her companion, Shelby Trotter, and two sons, Grayson Miles Trotter, and Baylor Wayne Trotter, all of Nevada; her parents, Dustin and Monica, of Gentry, Ark.; sister, Myrissa Huggins (Austin), Gentry, Ark.; brother, Justin Dunfield, Gentry, Ark.; grandparents, Danny and Vickie Ross, Rich Hill, Mo.; and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews.

Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30 a.m., Saturday, Sept. 30, at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Nevada with Father Peter Savidge officiating. Interment will follow in Newton Burial Park in Nevada. The family will receive friends from 9-10:30 a.m. prior to the service at St. Mary’s.
