Budget work session held

Work on the 2024 budget is closer to completion after city commissioners held a work session Tuesday evening.

During the meeting, commissioners learned the General Fund, which runs in a deficit, is set to be the black.

City Manager Mark Mitchell detailed the General Fund and Parks Fund during the work session. Mitchell said even though the funds are balanced, he still needs to do more work to include a cost of living raise for employees.
