Celebrating the Maxwell Center for Performing Arts

Wesley Morton, Michael Fox and Jessica Baker present NHS graduate and Nashville recording artist Marci Mitchell with a plaque as the 2023 inductee to the NHS Fine Arts Wall of Fame. Mitchell entertained the audience with her original song, “Sucker For a Small Town.”

The 10th anniversary celebration of the Ella Maxwell Center for Performing Arts at Nevada High School was opened by Wesley Morton, NHS vocal music director and coordinator for the P.A.C, by thanking the audience as “patrons of the arts.” Morton said the 2023-24 school year marks his 23rd year with the school district. He said the P.A.C. celebration was to “showcase the entire Fine Arts department.”
