Mae F. Lamb

    Mae F. Lamb, 90, of Nevada, MO passed away on Monday January 15, 2024.  She was born December 27, 1933 to Ralph and Gladys (Henning) Houdeshell in Richards, MO.   Mae married Morris Lamb in 1970 in Miami, OK.  He preceded her in death in 1982.   

Mae was raised in the Sheldon area and attended rural Vernon County schools.  She lived in Columbus, KS for a time and was a member of the First Christian Church there.   In 1982, she came to Nevada from Bolivar, MO.  Mae retired after 13 years as a state hospital worker.     

Mae is survived by her son, Steve Buckner, Columbus, KS;  daughter, DeEtta Delmont,

Columbus, KS; grandson, Zachary Delmont, state of California; granddaughter, Monica Delmont, Columbus, KS; seven sisters, Maudie Bogart, Milo, Ruby Wright, Sheldon, Patricia Schwartz, Nevada, Ellen Brooks, Milo, Dinah Smith, Nevada, Wanda Watts, Nevada, and Sarah Underwood, Nevada; two brothers, Raymond Houdeshell, Sheldon, and Jimmy Houdeshell, Nevada; and numerous nieces and nephews.

In addition to her husband, Morris, Mae was preceded in death by three sisters, Lila Bogart, Viola Chancellor, and Pauline Stansill; and 3 brothers, Lee Houdeshell, Ralph Houdeshell, and Robert Houdeshell.

  Funeral services will be Monday, January 22, 2024, at 2:00 p.m. at Ferry Funeral Home, Nevada, with Roger Beach officiating.  Private family interment will follow in Sheldon Cemetery, Sheldon, MO.
