McKlintic takes a step up the fire department career ladder
Captain Taylor McKlintic, a veteran of firefighting for 20-plus years, will officially be promoted to fire chief of the Nevada Fire Department come September, although he has been working in the position since July. According to a press release, Interim City Manager Larry Stevens said, “Taylor is well-qualified to become the new leader of the Nevada Fire Department. This was not a difficult decision, as his background as a fire professional, his people skills, and the personal relationships he has developed have positioned him well to be successful as Nevada's Fire Chief. Taylor will be a good fit for the fire department, our city organization and the Nevada community."
