I have some expertise when it comes to cats and dogs…and Aurora. Both my parents graduated from Aurora High School. My dad in 1949 and my late mother, Diane, in 1950. I also own a Houn Dawg named Rollo (pronounced RAW-LOW). Named after my beloved NHS 1982 classmate and former Tiger football offensive lineman, Roger Shelton, Rollo is actually a beagle. If you have ever owned this breed, you know they are, as Elvis would say, “cryin all the time,” just like a Houn Dawg. If you want to quiet his bark and have him tuck his tail between his legs, you have to be a little louder than he is. The Nevada Tigers took this advice and ROARED to a 21-7 victory over the Aurora Houn Dawgs on Friday Night.
