United Way gears up for giving to the community with Oktoberfest

Adam Dean of the Vernon County United Way on Wednesday spoke to the Nevada/Vernon County Chamber of Commerce about United Way's local mission and operation, as well as the upcoming Oktoberfest on Oct. 12.

Lacy Kalm, Vernon County United Way executive director, along with Adam Dean, advisor to the board of directors, visited the Nevada/Vernon County Chamber of Commerce at the Healthy Nevada board room on Wednesday, Sept. 11. Dean presented those present with information on the function of the local United Way and said 99% of donations stayed locally with only 1% of the donations going to the national organization.
