Nevada Falls to Seneca in Big 8 Conference Play

The Nevada Tigers hosted the Seneca Indians in Big 8 Conference play Friday Night at Logan Field.  Both teams came into the contest a perfect 2-0 on the young season.  The Tigers prevailed over the Aurora Houn Dawgs 21-7 last Friday night while Seneca was 35-14 winners over Mt. Vernon.  The Indians are defending Class 3 State runner up in Class 3 in the 2023 campaign while the Tigers are a defending district champion in Class 4.  Seneca has taken 8 out of 12 matchups between the two schools since the series began. Nevada came in ranked 7th in Missouri Class 4 while the Indians are currently ranked 2nd in Class 2. Nevada was averaging 33 while giving up 15 points on defense. The Tiger rushing attack has averaged 358 yard through the first two contests against Monett and Aurora.  Meanwhile Seneca was averaging 45 points on offense while giving up 15 points per contest through the first two games of the season.
