In this week’s review of yesteryear, we are taking a look back at the 1973 Nevada home contest vs. the Monett Cubs. The Tigers were coming off a 6-4 record the fall before in the fifth year of Head Coach John Osborne’s tenure. In 1973, the Tigers would feature an unbelievable amount of talent of which 11 players would receive post season honors. In the end, Nevada would gain their second Big 10 Conference championship in seven years.
