I like sports. I have watched Nevada High School athletics since the mid 1970s. Both men’s and women’s contests from the vantage point of first, a young fan, then as a player, followed by a coach, then an athletic director and finally once again as a not-so-young fan and sportswriter. I have seen thousands of athletes of varying abilities. Some were exceptional. This is a story about one of those once in a generation type players…. Jack Cheaney.
