Keith Walker, 91, of Nevada, MO, passed away on Friday, November 8, 2024, at Medicalodges Nevada.  Keith was born on March 7, 1933 in Liberty, MO, the ninth of 12 children to Riley and Flora Agnes (Foster) Walker.  He married Lucille A. Walker (yes, her maiden name was Walker) on August 20, 1960, at his mother’s home in rural Sheldon, MO and she survives of the home.

Keith’s family moved from Liberty into a two-room house in rural Sheldon in December 1939.  They built onto the house to accommodate the large family and it is the house in which he and Lucille were married.  Keith attended Longacre School through the eighth grade and later obtained his GED.  He owned and operated a milk delivery truck in this area before returning to Liberty in 1958.  Upon returning to Liberty, he became a member of Teamsters Local 541 and worked as a ready-mix truck driver and mechanic until retiring in 1989, after which they moved back to this area.

Keith was a modest, hard-working man who loved farm life, spending time with his family, western movies and a good game of dominoes which he played frequently until tremors made it so he could not.

In addition to his wife Lucille, survivors include a son, Kenneth (Jamella), Lowry City, MO; grandchildren, Dylan, Karissa and Skyler; one great-grandchild; one brother, Robert and his wife Marylyn, Liberty; and many nieces and nephews.  In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by five brothers, Curtis, John, David, Louis and Kenneth; and five sisters, Pauline Peter, Minnie Foulk, Edith LaPee, Mary Mace, and Shirley Banes.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00a.m. on Wednesday, November 13, 2024 at Ferry Funeral Home, Nevada. Interment will follow in Newton Burial Park, Nevada. The family will receive friends from 10:00-11:00a.m.  prior to the funeral.

Those who wish may contribute in Keith’s memory to the University of Kansas Movement Disorder Program in care of Ferry Funeral Home.
