It started just a few months before the COVID pandemic – January 2020 to be more precise – with the culminating vision of founder, Tamara Weber, when she and her team opened Pete’s Garden, a food recovery program to lessen food waste while at the same time helping mitigate food insecurity in the Kansas City area.
