Tristen Matthew Shepard
Tristen Matthew Shepard, age 27, Nevada, MO, passed away unexpectedly on December 11, 2024. He was born on December 5, 1997, the cherished son of Timothy and Melissa Shepard. Tristen was the beloved brother to Daulton and Coletan Shepard and a loving uncle to Greyson Shepard.
Tristen was an extraordinary young man who brought joy, laughter, and warmth to those around him. His family and friends will remember him for his kind heart, adventurous spirit, and the way he could light up a room with his smile. He had a huge heart and will also be remembered for his love for his animals, football, X-Box and music.
Tristen was a passionate and avid sportsman, with a deep love for football that began in middle school and continued throughout high school. He never missed a game and always enjoyed following the sport with enthusiasm.
Tristen's childhood was filled with treasured moments spent outdoors, learning to appreciate nature from his great-grandmother, Dorothy, and his Uncle Don. Their influence instilled in him a lifelong love for the outdoors and the simple joys of life.
Though his time with us was far too short, the memories of his love and laughter will remain in the hearts of all who knew him.
Tristen is survived by his parents, brothers, and extended family, who will miss him deeply. We will honor his memory and the positive impact he had on the lives of so many. Tristen, you will forever be loved and never forgotten.
Survivors include his parents, Tim and Melissa Shepard, of the home; two brothers, Daulton Shepard, Nevada, and Coletan Shepard and his fiancé Brenda, Norton, KS; nephew, Greyson Shepard; grandparents, Larry and Shelia Hand, Stockton, MO, and Debbie O’Bryan and Mark Roth, Pilot Grove, MO; as well as numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins. He was preceded in death by three grandmothers, Ernestine Parrish, Dorothy Warren, and LaVern Williams; two aunts, Sasha Skaggs and Charlotte Ernest; and an uncle, Don Simler.
Visitation will be held from 5-7:00 p.m. on Friday evening, December 13, 2024, at Ferry Funeral Home in Nevada. Memorials are suggested to the family c/o Ferry Funeral Home.
