Tigers Fall to the Panthers in Opening Round Play in Carthage Tournament, 61-37

The 3-0 Nevada Tigers varsity squad opened play in the 78th Annual Carthage Basketball Tournament against the Raymore-Peculiar Panthers Thursday night. Nevada is coming off a 62-49 victory over Carl Junction on Tuesday, while the Panthers were 64-49 winners over Metro High School of Olathe, Kansas in their season opener. Ray-Pec has won the last 3 contests against Nevada dating back to 2020, all in Carthage Tournament play. Nevada came into the contest averaging 52 points per game while giving up 45 points on defense.
