Guy William Benedict

Guy William Benedict, 70, passed away on Tuesday, December 10, at his residence in Shelbyville, Indiana. He was a former resident of Franklin, Indiana. Guy was born on September 12, 1954, in Evansville to Dalton and Catherine Ann (Mattingly) Benedict. Survivors include his brother Trace Benedict (Tammi) of Greenfield, nephews Josh Benedict(Sammy), Garrett Benedict(Taylor); daughter Amber Brandt(Stoney) and grandchildren; Jamin Brandt (Rilie) and Brooklyn Brandt, and great-grandchildren; Kyzer and Kelton Brandt. He was preceded in passing by his father, Dalton Benedict, and mother, Catherine Benedict, brothers, David Benedict and Pete Benedict, and special pet Sophie.

Guy worked at RCA prior to his retirement. Guy enjoyed fishing and long rides on his bike. He belonged to two golf leagues at RCA and enjoyed golfing with family and friends. Guy was an avid gardener and had a way with tomato plants. His family and friends will remember him as a kind and gentle man.

Guy will be laid to rest in Missouri, where he was planning to relocate in the spring.
