Sharon Eileen Eaton

Sharon Eileen Eaton, age 87, Nevada, MO passed away at Moore-Few Care Center on Wednesday, December 11, 2024. She was born April 25, 1937 in Augusta KS to JD and Maryetta Lamb.  She married Paul Phillips and to this union, Linda was born.  Sharon was very devoted to raising Linda while Paul was in the Air Force.  After Paul retired, she began her career at Augusta High School and retired after 17 years as their custodian.  

After Paul's passing, she later married James Eaton. They moved to Oklahoma and later settled in Russell, KS.  She enjoyed bowling, dancing, gardening, sewing, cooking, and playing the piano. After James’ passing, she went back to Augusta, KS for a short time then to Nevada, MO to be closer to Linda and Melinda.

She was preceded in death by her parents, 2 infant children, 2 husbands, and her son-in-law Donald Freeman. 

She is survived by her daughter, Linda Freeman of Nevada, MO.  Her granddaughter, Melinda Freeman (Phillip) of Osceola, MO.  And her brother, Rod Lamb (Lance) of Augusta, KS. 

The last decade she had faced many health challenges, Alzheimer's being the main one.  Many thanks to the staff at Joe Clark, Barone, and Moore-Few for helping her live her fullest life.  

A private family service will be held at a later date.  Donations in her memory are suggested to the Alzheimer's Association c/o Ferry Funeral Home in Nevada, MO.
