Tigers Move to 6-1 in Victory over University Academy, 62-33

The 5-1 Nevada Tigers varsity squad opened play in the annual Butler Basketball Tournament against the University Academy Gryphons Tuesday night. Nevada is coming off a 53-49 victory over the Joplin Eagles on Saturday at the Carthage Tournament.  Nevada came into the contest averaging 50 points per game while giving up 48 points on defense.  The 2-3 Gryphons are averaging 41 points per game on offense while giving up 50 points on defense. The two schools met last year in the Butler Tournament.  Nevada won that contest by a score of 58-26.
