Marty Wayne Caldwell, 53, of Nevada, Missouri, passed away on Monday, February 3, 2025,at Westgate Skilled Facility in Joplin, MO, leaving behind a legacy of love, kindness, and cherished memories.

     Marty was born on February 21, 1971, in Rolla, Missouri, to Terry and Susie Caldwell. He was raised in Nevada and graduated from Nevada High School with the Class of 1989.  He was known for his warm smile, unwavering generosity, and ability to bring joy to those around him. Marty had a deep passion for the cowboy way of life, embracing everything it meant to be a true cowboy. Whether it was riding horses, working cattle, or simply enjoying the great outdoors, he found his greatest joy in the western way of life.

     He is survived by his loving wife, Sandy Caldwell; his daughter, Kelsey Caldwell Greer; and his cherished granddaughters, Gracelynn and Brynlee. He is also survived by his sisters, Misty Caldwell and Mendy Caldwell Legleiter; as well as many other family members and dear friends, including his Westgate family.   He was preceded in death by his parents.

     Marty was a devoted husband, father, and grandfather who found his greatest happiness in time spent with his loved ones. His cowboy spirit, strong work ethic, and genuine kindness will forever be remembered.

     A funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Thursday, February 6, 2025, at Ferry Funeral Home in Nevada, with Travis Lathrop officiating. Interment will follow in Newton Burial Park. A visitation will be held on Wednesday evening from 5:00 to 7:00 PM at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, donations in Marty’s honor may be made to Vernon County Youth Fair in care of Ferry Funeral Home.

     Marty will be deeply missed by all who knew him, but his spirit and the love he shared will remain in our hearts forever.
