In “This Week in Nevada Basketball History,” we highlight some of the best Nevada Tiger and Lady Tiger Teams of the past. This time, we take a look at the 1979-80 Nevada Tigers and their run to capture the school’s first Men’s District Basketball Championship. The 1979-80 Nevada squad was thought by some to be decimated by graduation with the departure of such noted players as Chris Hoover, David Redding, Greg Ernsbarger and David Ferry from the year before.
